Little Romp On Forest Oaks Drive...

Brody and Sammi went across the street to play with their buddy Mateo the other day! Sammi thought she would help Mateo dig in Naomi's garden! Then we found the perfect pile of leaves for some cute fall pictures...they decided to throw them around instead of posing nice for Mom. Oh well...still got some cute shots!

The two little diggers stopped to pose for a picture!

Don't these look like the perfect digging shoes?? Sammi loves her "spawkly" shoes and thinks they match ANYTHING in her wardrobe!
Brody and Sammi decide to throw the leaves instead of pose nicely in them!

I feel bad if the Bob our neighbor raked these in a pile...cuz my kids destroyed the pile of leaves! They had so much fun though...I didn't want to be the one to stop the fun!
Sammi wide eyed smiling in the leaves!

One Last Shot At Pumpkins....With A Dash Of Christmas!!

We went to the Pumpkin Patch/Christmas Tree Farm on Monday with the Swails kids! We thought we should run the kids and let them get some fresh air before the rain headed towards Yucaipa! This picture is by one of the TOO CUTE REINDEER and snowman they sell in the gift shop. The reindeer are $250...I still want one!!! Look at them...oh, and check out the kidlets too!

We thought the kids would have more fun feeding the animals through the fence...the goats were VERY hungry!! Sammi was loving the goats...Brody wasn't too fond of their tongues!!

Sammi is smiling by her goat friend!

Madison, Kenny and Brody not really wanting to make contact with the goats...trying to think of a plan!

Here are the girls on the top of the hay castle!

The boys took their shot at posing...where are the cheesy smiles??

We snuck in the corn maze!! There was nobody there so we took it upon ourselves to walk through...only to find that there was some type of poison oak plant! Kenny and Danelle both got "bit" by the leaf! This picture below you can see Kenny post sting!

Brody being a goof trying to figure out what way to go!

The smallest girls...Sammi and Macy were loving the freedom of just running by the pumpkin patch!

Monkey see Monkey do! Sammi paused for a quick squat and Macy did the same...but with a pose for the camera!! Thanks Macy!

Brody was searching for sunflower seeds!

The kids were picking sunflower seeds out of a dried up sunflower!

Brody found his pumpkin!

Kenny speared his pumpkin!

All the kids posed by the elf's on the way out! Brody appears to be dancing with his elf!! What a fun afternoon!

Happy Birthday To You...

Baby Derek turned one and we were invited to celebrate HIS big day at Big Cheese on Saturday night...it was one big party day for the Byers family!! Here is a picture of the birthday boy with my friend and his mommy Lorrie and baby Derek (with hands covered in frosting!)!!

Brody and Sammi were LOVIN' the Skeeball game...check out Brody's form.
Sammi joined in the fun too! She wore her fancy sparkly shoes for the birthday shin-dig!
They were excited to collect enough tickets to get a $50 dollar bill at the prize counter!! Cool huh?!
Here is the group of kids helping Derek celebrate....Derek is in the middle asleep!! Party animal!

Rock a bye BABY SHOWER...

My friend and "co-worker" (another Piggies artist!) was celebrated at a Baby Shower on Saturday! I brought the kidlets...they had fun, thankfully Niki (another friend and artist!) brought Holly so they had eachother :) The kids were soooo excited to eat the pink cupcakes made by Stacy's Grandma! They were YUMMY.
Here I am (not looking so hot) with le' prego Stacy (middle) and Niki! Love these girls...one more girl is almost ready to join the group...baby Emerson!!

Let's Go To The Movies!!

Brody has half days all week this week...so we took advantage of the afternoon and hit the movies! The kids have been wanting to see Madagascar2 so we did! They actually BOTH sat through the entire movie. We all enjoyed the movie...

Daddy and the kids with the theater in the background!! We had so much fun!!
We headed to Macaroni Grill after the movies...Brody LOVES that place because he can just sit and draw EVERYWHERE. The only problem is he always wants to bring the "tablecloth" home. Um, no...especially with the sauce, dipping oil, water spills...you get the picture!

Brody's work of art! He actually drew fish and had to label each one!

Sammi wanted to pose with her artwork too. She worked on her "S's" and her new happy sunshine that she LOVES to draw...we wonder who she got that from?!

One Little, Two Little, Three Little Indians...

Tuesday was our Wampanoag Day in Brody's 1st Grade class. The kids had such a great time learning about what the kids did in the Wampanoag Village. Of course the kids didn't paint trees on walls way back then, but Mrs. Swails (aka Danelle) painted the kids hands in fall colors to add some color to our lush tree filled walls!

We constructed fire pits with tree stakes in the middle of their desks...the twigs were collected from a hike that Brody, Kenny and Sammi took through Yucaipa Community Park last week!

Brody was trying to be a little Wampanoag and crack a shelled hazelnut with a wooden hammer!

I had to jump in the shot with my little guy! I spent the morning working the "nut cracking" corner! The kids enjoyed a feast of nuts (that they cracked on their own), strawberries, blueberries, corn, pinto beans and water! While they enjoyed their feast, Mrs. Solis played actual dilect from one of the last known members of the Wampanoag tribe! The kids loved to listen to it and heard the man say "cucumba" (aka cucumber), and now they can't stop laughing at that word! Silly kids.

Brody, Kenny and Tyler all posed with their indian headdress with their painted symbols that they chose. Such a great day they won't soon forget!

When The Cat's Away The Mice Will Play...

So you can't really complain about November in Yucaipa when you wake up to this view!! Pretty amazing day...but the mice did play, at least Daddy did. Daddy snuck off early this morning to join Uncle Jonni at Yucaipa Valley Golf Course. They had a great morning golfing, Brad said it was one of his best days golfing....ever!!

This is a picture looking towards the mountains...Brad and Jonni are actually way off in the shot!

This shot is Brad and Jonni finishing up the 12th hole...I think this is before they knew I was taking pictures from the backyard!!
Brad and Uncle Jonni took a moment to pose while I took the picture from the backyard!!

Brad on his final shot at the 13th hole...this is on the other side of the lake from us!
